Founding Directors: Joel & Tennile Carver

Paradosi Christian Ballet Company, is Northwest's first professional Christian ballet company in US. Their dance pieces are very much worship inspired using Ballet, contemporary and lyrical movements along with hymns and worship songs remixed with a contemporary twist. All their dancers are professionally trained in their school of arts headed by Tennile Carver.

Tennile Carver was raised as a pastor's kid but chose a life of a professional dancer. At the age of 18, she joined the prestigious Christian Ballet Company called the Ballet Magnificat. She was professionally trained and mentored by Kathy Thibodeaux, Founder of Ballet Magnificat and silver medalist in the 1982 International Ballet competition. After 3 years of training and dancing, Tennile married Joel and began teaching at the school of Arts for Ballet Magnificat and other Trainee programmes for the company. She toured with them for 7 years.

After 10 years in the ministry, the couple were led to Michigan where Tennile ran a dance school of 500 over students and was also school principal, teacher, administrator and director for Jackson Ballet Company.

Not long after that, the Lord called them back to their home in Seatle to start a Christian School of Arts and also Paradosi Christian ballet company.
