Please note that the creative arts centre (Calvary charismatic church) is organizing a dance workshop from 26th till 28th November 2008. They are inviting Urban Groove Dance Network (UGDN) and Vibe Team to conduct the different dance style. Furthermore there will be a basic ballet and choreography session by Crystal on the Friday. Attached is a copy of the dance workshop schedule. Charges will be RM50 per session. Do Register early.

Profile: Joel Tan is the chief instructor and founder of Urban Groove Dance Network (UGDN), a registered coach and professional hip-hop instructor under the United Kingdom Arts (UKA), Great Britain. He represents Malaysia as the UKA's certified and qualified hip-hop dance teacher by providing professional examinations, student medal test and scrutinizing exams of every dance style. He received a special award and champion title for the Malaysian Break Dance Team Champion 2002 and Extreme Fitness Malaysian 2002. Currently, he serves as the local faculty and the Network Head of Youth Dance for the Christian Dance Fellowship of Malaysia and providing dance training for youth ministries in Churches.

Synopsis: The workshop introduces a series of routine exercises and provides top quality street style of hip hop culture. The class is an opportunity to express creativity in a constructive and productive form and inspire a positive outlook for the future of our youth by taking them into a next level with high impact, energy flows and to move with excellence for the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Team Vibe

A world class group of dancers out to showcase the Filipino brand of talent, raising the standard of excellence in dance entertainment industry. Last year, they won the Asia Pacific Dance Masters in Malaysia besting 11 nations both in the group and solo category. They are also the 2005 Philippine Dance Idol.


As a professional dance group they have performed in various concerts, television shows, commercials, event launches; and has worked with various artists such as Christian Bautista, Akafellas, Sarah Geronimo, South Border, Jasmine Trias, and Gary Valenciano to name a few.

DANCING BACKGROUND

TeamVibe owns and operates their own studio based in the Philippines, Vibe Dance Studio, teaching the different styles of hip hop and also jazz and cheer dance.


Recent works and Achievements

• Recently won as champions (Hiphop OPEN and Solo Category) in the Asia Pacific Masters Dance Championship last July 15th,2007 held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.


• Last month in October, Team Vibe were invited to perform and held different workshops over at Malaysia by two of the local and top HipHop Dance Crews and studios, and collaborated with the Urban Groove Dance Crew and Tren Crew.

• Then on the same month, they did a workshop and a dance showcase Collaborating with Singapore Local Dance crew, Styles From Beyond (The DanceFloor Finalist)
